So, after I was all prepared to do this, I went back to play Cyclone.
ReplyDeleteBasically, this save has gone unplayable. No one is getting into buildings, time royally screwed, etc. Very very bad.
It might be that using the Error trap tuning file will help. But
It might be that this is the last post in my oldest Sims 3 blog (damn, it will miss two years by weeks).
Or I might throw out this save and reuse the newspaper concept. If I do, I do not want to do family bios again. While I think it's good, writing bios gets soul destroying after awhile.
So does anyone think this is an interesting enough blog to both submit a family *and* create bios for them?
I'm sorry to hear you're having so many issues with this save.
ReplyDeleteIf you decide to restart and need new families, I'll put a new one up for you using new sims or sims I haven't dusted off in a while. Creating their bios sounds like fun. A nice chance to think about the characters and do a bit of writing.
I think that's a fine idea.
Chrysame, you could do bios for Leman/Tomasi gen 1 or gen 2. Or create a new family but if I restart, I'll have no Lemans or Tomasi.
ReplyDeleteI might recycle my Cyclone, Trina, Nicole and Rock - they were just getting interesting.
Oh man- Paulette and Sophie are spitting images of each other!! That is so awesome.
ReplyDeleteColorful characters, as always! I'm always struck by how different they all look, and their distinct personalities.
I'm sorry to hear about your save... Mine got like that a bit ago, which is when I put them in a fresh Twinbrook. I could get away with it, since I hadn't featured any townies, but yours... Oh man, that sucks.
I'd hate to see it go away completely!!
I second Chrysame's sentiments- I'd be more than happy to provide you with a lovely family and bios.
No Tomasi's or Lemans. No problem! If you go that route, I'll gladly ship you a new family with new sims. It sounds like a good challenge to create some nice sims in CAS.
ReplyDeleteActually, Chrysame, I meant you would be my sole provider of Tomasi Lemans - not that you had to avoid them. :)
ReplyDeleteBut hey, a new family with bios would be great too.
I'll see if there are any recommendations from Twallan but don't be surprised to be requested for a family.
Hey Amelia, some townies but also just heaps and heaps of Exchange Sims from a long time back. That's why so many bios have Sim Origins - to give credit to their creators.
ReplyDeleteIt's sweet of you to say you'd hate it to go away. It's not like it's the only blog I write. :)
Ohhhh, new special offer.
ReplyDeleteIf you make one family member a journalist, you can post either special reports or blog posts by your journalist. Whenever the mood strikes is a good time to write and post.
Your Sim could be our reviewer of books/movies/tv. They could be our 'foreign correspondent', foreign meaning outside the valley. Pretty much, any random content you might find in an online newspaper.
It has the potential to be fun.
Great bios! Incredibly difficult to do, and definitely draining.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your save file. Hopefully Twallan can come up with something that might help help.
Ooooh, me! me! me! *raises hand excitedly*
I mean...*ahem*. I'll create a family and upload them right now. Bios included. :)
The "alternate" Camdens http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=4325796
ReplyDeleteI completely spaced in getting Alex a job in Journalism first, but I'm sure they'll make nicely dull additions to your game.
I made sure they were CC free, and free of any other stuff you may not have. Their bios are in the "details" tab. :)
Thanks so much Cheezy.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to use your new families (anyone who provides them!) and Twallan Porter out all the families that have already had bios/been in the paper and start a fresh copy of SV.
That way, this blog can continue on - all the bios done already still work and hopefully I'll lose whatever the hell it is that lags this game so badly.
Or that's the current plan.
