More news from around the neighborhood

At the Leman house, Thomas has grown my first ever money tree.  The first harvest was about 300 simoleons.

Marcy Leman is getting to know Dexter Marsh better

Kaitlin Leman has reached childhood

Tricia Muleskinner has made it to toddler.

Grandpa has yet to meet Grimmy and aging is currently off so it will be a little while before he does.

Alice Lessen reached child

and got a makeover because all my Sim girls are looking the same

I love community lots.  From left to right we have Sam Grant just leaving the theatre.  Malcolm Landgraab is standing next to Zayne Hunter.  And Thomas and Kaitlin Leman are on the far right.

  1. Your Alice Lesson looks a lot like one of Jon's daughters in my game. Same hair too, before the makeover. It may have been Tyra, daughter of Jon and Tanya. I'll know when I look at my pics again.

I too love those community lots. Yesterday I saw Tanya with her daughter and stepson at the theatre. They way they were standing, it looked like she was buying tickets for the movie.

  2. I love community lots, too. You can get some good photo ops there. I love when my sims unexpectedly run into their friends there. It doesn't happen as often in my games because I still have 99% townies and premades.

  3. Kaitlin has her father's eyes. Aren't money trees fun? I'm always torn between hand watering and upgrading a sprinkler. Sims get sprinkler happy but hand watering takes so much time.

I downloaded a community lot from Mumsie that's a garden center with eight money trees. When my sims are very poor they go there to get some extra funds and some fresh fruits and veggies. It also helps their gardening skills. It also has some picnic tables and baskets so a lot of townies show up there.

  4. For Thomas, I leave in a sprinkler. So far, only the occasional babysitter plays in the sprinkler non stop.

Since Sims 2, I've loved sending Sims to a community lot to socialize. They meet up with family, friends, new people. And unlike Sims 3, they didn't lose a minute of their lifespan from being on a community lot. LOL

Sue, in several of my saved games I have the same situation. My Sims go and hang out with the premades and townies. It's still good for them.

  5. I was just looking back at the pic of Kaitlin. She looks like she thinking, oh crap, now I have to go to school. Being a toddler was so much more fun.

  6. :-) But she also gets to do stuff in the neighborhood without Thomas or Kristen. Not to mention painting, chess, computer games...

  7. Yea, I think it just takes them a moment to realize they have freedom now. I've noticed a lot of the kids don't look happy when they first age up.

  8. Hey, if you grew that much in a minute, you'd be looking a bit stunned too. LOL.

  9. It annoys me that all the girls get that same hairstyle when they age.

If you have a greenthumb, I noticed that if they talk to trees it gives you more money. Jefferson CrinkleWinkle spoke to their 3 trees all the time and it produces just under 3k each harvest.
