The SV Times - We print the Gnus you make

People around town

by Cycl0n3 Sw0rd

Instead of interviewing the other power broker in town, today we look at one of the newest recruits to the business world, Jack Harkness. Quite frankly, I've met Thornton and he is in real need of a personality transplant.

Q: So far, I've interviewed Nancy Landgraab and Nick Alto - the top of the business career.
A: I'm not the bottom of the barrel, but it's a long way to the top from here. They refer to us as the drones.

Q: How do you like it?
A: Meet lots of people, hold meetings and lounge by the water cooler. It could be worse.

Q: And I understand you have two toddlers, doesn't that effect how much you can work?
A: Well, yes but we cope like most working families must. I've heard that Nancy neglected her family for the sake of business but I'm not cut that way. Would you like to hold Lizette?

Q: Ewww.
A: Not married then?

Q: Well, married but no kids. Did you and Ollie adopt?
A: Actually no. The Science Lab has a way to artificially create babies for any couple. We weren't expecting 2 to come home though. Double is way better than nothing.

Q: Tell me more about your family.
A: I have a wonderful hubby, Ollie and two fantastic children, Lizette and Stuart.
By the way, you're very cute, a bit skinny for my taste, but cute. Wanna go on a date sometime?

Q: What?
A: Just asking. I find it never hurts to ask.

Q: No, thank you but no. Would you mind if I interviewed Ollie as well?
A: Knock yourself out. He's downstairs with our boy Stuart. How about a kiss then?

Q: So umm.. life with Jack...
A: I know what you want to ask. I know he's the town Gigolo. In fact, I think he's just hit on you, hasn't he?

Q: Well, yes, but doesn't it bother you?
A: Hell, no, Jack's never made a secret of it. He earns far more money in a couple of hours of 'escorting' someone around town then his career provides. And he always comes home to my bed. I think Jack can't help flirting with everyone, it's the way he is. I love him and I know he loves me.

The Boss says cute baby pictures sell papers. He's the boss. This is Stuart Harkness - I must say the eyes are just like Ollie.

  1. While I was visiting Ollie and Jack, I confirmed that while Twallan's Woohooer mod may not make "Risky woohoo" and "Try for baby" autonomous for gay couples, it does give you those options when you are playing the couple.

  2. The kids are really cute but that line, "How about a kiss then?"cracked me up. Yep, that's Jack to a tee.
Lizette looks so shy in her daddies arms and wow, Stuarts eyes really stand out in the picture of him in his daddies arms. Even without enlarging the pic.

  3. Agreed "How about a kiss" really is Jack to a tee. And Ollie is perfectly aware that he's married to a serial flirt, the bonus would be that Jack makes a lot of money as the town gigolo. :)

The kids had just reached toddler so I decided to interview this house rather than Thornton. Thornton really is seriously lacking personality. Lizette is cute but Stuart has those really outstanding eyes. I wish one of them got Ollie's hair - might have to do something about that by the time they reach child.

  4. I think I spent a little time in most of the SV households and I just never could like Thorton. I remember getting his wife pregnant just to spite him.
Yeah one of them needs Ollie hair.

  5. Woohooer! I really love that mod. He's going to update it soon. Maybe he'll update his tuning mods to go with it!

Anyway, on to the good stuff. Cyclone, Cyclone, Cyclone. Jack is well worth the price of admission. Now, that Cyclone knows Ollie doesn't mind maybe he'll sneak back for that kiss.

The kids are gorgeous. Lizette really looks like Jack. I think both kids have Jack's mouth.

  6. @ Chrysame, I do love woohooer. It's another great mod.

I had this mental image of Cyclone fleeing Jack on this first encounter. Jack is just a little bit intense. But Cyclone knows that Ollie is cool with what Jack does and I agree that Jack is well worth the price. Cyclone should at least try a kiss or two. :)

I have a gigolo who has both female and male clients - Jack's last escort was Rick Shawn. Go Jack!

Thanks for the comments about the kids. I thought Lizette looks a lot like Jack too. I wonder how that will work when she's older. I think she's about to get Ollie's hair colour! Stuart is so cute.

  7. @Dee, I did try with Thornton and Morgana. They had one son, then twins. He still failed to show personality.

If I'm playing in SV, I do ensure they have plenty of kids. The genetics are good, they have fine looking offspring. But I don't pay attention to them beyond that.

  8. They're just plain boring and nothing is going to make them interesting. He runs around and she pretends not to notice. :)

  9. Which tuning mod do you use for woohooer, PiB? I miss Georgia and Gwen. I think I'm ready to get back to them. But, time is an issue this week.

I can just see Jack in Late Night meeting Cyclone in one of the great bars, they share a dirty martini and before Cyclone knows it he's flirting with Jack up a storm. Ollie would be flirting with the hot bartender. Then, at the end of the night, Ollie and Jack go home together. Cyclone? Well, he might have to get the bartender's number.

Oh, yeah. Jack and Ollie in Late Night? Perfect.

  10. I forget the exact name, it's the second one on the list that adds autonomy but they have to have a romantic relationship first. :)

I'm looking forward to Georgia and Gwen updates. Your updates are always fun. When you have time for them, I can be patient. Sort of, almost patient. LOL

Jack and Ollie - barhopping in Late Night...oh yeah. That's a brilliant image. Cyclone with a couple of drinks - he'd finally be ready for that encounter with Jack. And at the end of the night, Jack always goes home with Ollie.

  11. I figure Jack and Ollie both have a little fun on the side but they always end the night together. That's how I played it in my game. It worked great. They have a good understanding of each other. I think I still have their old game saved when they're still young. I might have to revisit them.

I have that same tuning mod. It doesn't affect same sex sims? Really? Bah.

  12. I'm not sure if Ollie is having a bit of fun on the side, but he'd surely know that Jack is working Gigolo. Jack gets too many rave reviews for him to miss it.

I do think they understand each other well.

Oh, and Twallan does allow for female/female risky/Try for baby interactions in the tuning mod. It's just male/male that's off by default - kAutonomousMaleMaleTryForBaby value="False"
Probably because of the missing male body if they get pregnant and you don't have a male pregnancy mod installed. I think autonomous woohoo is enabled for all Sims above the age of teen.

  13. He did say he was doing some updating on WhooHooer and hoped it have it finished by the weekend.

Maybe we'll get more choices. I love risky woohoo. They might or might not get pregnant. It's a little more realistic for some situations.

  14. I like that they don't have to spend so long rebuilding the romance before they will head off for the nearest bed.

BTW - New poll up. Last poll results - 100% in favour of the new style.

  15. I think I'll check out Twallan's site and see if he any further info about updating woohooer.

  16. My game is so much better with Twallan. I'm so glad I got brave enough to try the SuperComputer and Story Progression mods. All other mods I've tried add a bit to the game but those two just make it so much better.

  17. I've added woohooer, dreamer, decensor so far. I like them all.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I definitely love decensor and dreamer. woohooer - maybe I've been to the wrong families so far, I haven't seen autonomous action. It's still nice to send them to woohoo much quicker. Same with dresser - my Sims aren't picking new outfits to wear...drat them.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Are you using the tuning mod for dresser?

    ReplyDelete
  20. No, that's probably the D'Oh moment there. :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. The tuning mods allow for automatic switching between outfits. One just for non-actives and another mod for those in your active household.

    ReplyDelete
  22. The babies are cute. I love Stuart's eyes. Woohooer is a great mod, and lol, my sims always love making babies: 10 to 11 babies.. *_*

  23. Hahaha, town gigolo! I love how Jack's so flirty with Cyclone. He just came for an interview, not for his services! Hehehe.

Very typical of Ollie, to be very nonchalant about it. He's always so accepting! They're definitely a *huge* contrast compared to the Alto and Landgraab families. Don't need money and prestige to be happy!

The twins are adorable, too. You can already see their parents in them.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Thanks MJ, they are cute toddlers indeed.

Hey Kaleeko, Jack has one criteria before he flirts - legal age. If a Sim is old enough, Jack will flirt. :) And he does provide an excellent service, all his clients say so.

Jack and Ollie are certainly much more relaxed and happy about life than the Altos.

Oh, and I've been inspired to set up for Jack's 'bachelor' challenge. I need to restart - made a small mistake. But it should be wild, very wild.

  25. YES! I mean, that sounds like fun. *cough* So...um...soon?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Soon? Oh yes, very soon.

Expect activity in the short story blog. :) Did you know that the adult filter means you have to consent to the content even if you wrote it?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hahaha! That's amusing, PiB. Crazy you have to consent to what you write! Though, I suppose it kinda makes sense.

Ooo! I'm excited! I can't wait to read it. Those challenges are always so much fun! :D I'll keep my eyes peeled!

  28. Hmm, by the weekend very soon. It's taking longer than I thought to get the effective relationships going the way I want them too. :)
